Queens English aim to become the definitive act in UK hip hop history. Formed in Leeds in 2004, Queens English established themselves through regular live sets, developing a huge student following.

Renowned for their high octane performances and thoughtful lyrics, they soon recognized the need for a focused assault on the UK music scene.

Taking the inevitable step to London in 2006, they have since recorded their debut album “EQ” with drum and bass impresario “Nu-Balance”.

They have performed regularly throughout the UK supporting acts such as the Foreign Beggars, Stig and DR Syntax, Phoenix Quarter, Sub Focus and Broke N English at respected venues – Cargo, Herbal, Rhythm Factory, Corsica Studios, 333, The Faversham, Fabric and The Amersham Arms.

Since signing to MindTree Music, 2008 sees them nominated for the Indy Music Award and NME New Music Prize. Alongside the release of their debut album in the spring, QE have also secured appearances and tour dates across the UK.

Work has already begun on their second album collaborating with the likes of Roots Manuva, Foreign beggars, DJ IQ, Dizzee Rascal and Sir Smurf Lil.

With their reputation and fan base growing fast, Queens English are set to blow and grow BIG!!!
